Obituary of Michelle Fanelli

Michelle Fanelli, age 60 of Brookhaven, PA passed away peacefully on January 7, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born & raised in both Ridley Twp. & Upper Providence, PA, Michelle then resided in Brookhaven, PA for the last 30 years. Michelle was employed for 25 years with Verizon as a Directory Assistance Operator. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and a member of Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Media where she attended church weekly. She was a long-time dedicated volunteer at The Assisi House in Aston, PA.  Michelle was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3460 in Media, PA.  Michelle had a passion for animals, and will be sadly missed by her devoted dog, Honey. In her spare time, Michelle enjoyed reading, playing cards, spending time with her family, supporting her great-nephews at their sporting events, watching Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune with her Mom, and especially going to the beach with her sister, Anne Marie, and trying their luck at the casinos. Michelle is preceded in death by her father, Michael Fanelli and her step-father, Harry Eder. She is survived by her mother, Mary Eder, sister, Anne Marie Kerezsi, 5 nieces, Megan Kerezsi-Ward, Jamie Kerezsi, Laura McCardell, Anna Kerezsi & Caitlin Pace, 1 great niece, Stella, 7 great nephews, Mason, Milo, Dimitri, Killian, Harry, Darby & Brady, also survived by an Aunt Myra & Uncle Joseph Traub, her step-mother, Lois Fanelli, and two long-time friends from childhood, Betty Anne Buonocore & Patricia Chiaffa. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, from 9:30-10:45AM at Nativity BVM, 30 E. Franklin St, Media, PA followed by a Funeral Mass at 11AM. Interment will remain private.
