Obituary of Kathleen M Szaszarowsky

Kathleen M. Szaszarowsky, age 80 of Media, PA peacefully passed away on November 10, 2023 surrounded by family at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Kathy was born to Joseph and Sophia (Pincura) Kucinski in Chester, PA, on August 12,1943. She remained living in Chester until she moved to Media 27 years ago. In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her late sister, Jo Ann Snook, and her late brother-in-law, Ken Snook. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Lanno and son-in-law Jeff Lanno, her grandchildren, Stephanie Lanno-Lynch (Nick Lynch) and Heather Lanno (Mark DiSalvatore), great-grandchildren, Luke Miller, James Lynch, and Victoria Lynch, nieces, Dawn Reed (Jim Reed) and Kelly Snook. Kathy was a devout Catholic. She spent many years attending and volunteering in her parishes including Holy Ghost, and most recently, St. Joseph’s in Aston. Kathy worked at Boscov's since 1996 and was infamously known by her co-workers and customers for her bright personality. She loved shopping sales, playing the lottery, and going to the casino to play the slot machines. She was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. She loved watching the games with a beer while talking to the other fans in her family. She loved to decorate and dress festively for all holidays. She was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and co-workers.The viewing will be on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 9-9:45AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road Garnet Valley, PA and will be followed by a service at the funeral home beginning at 10 am. There will be a private burial for the family to lay Kathy to rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations in her memory that will be sent to the Sisters of Mercy (sistersofmercy.org).  Arrangements have been made at Pagano Funeral Home (3711 Foulk Road Garnet Valley, PA).
