Obituary of Joanne M. Hamilton

Joanne M. Hamilton age 88 of Morris PA, passed away on October 20, 2023 at Rosewood Gardens Nursing Center after a short illness. Joanne was born to the late John and Helen Wanamaker of Elizabethtown, PA. After high school, Joanne attended Millersville College where she would meet her husband Thomas Hamilton. They were married for 54 years until his death in 2011. Joanne taught fourth grade in the Chichester School District. She taught in the district for 35 years. Joanne lived for many years in the Garnet Valley area. After the death of her husband, Joanne moved to Morris, PA. Joanne loved to read and go out to dinner. Joanne also loved her two cats Bootsie & Shady. Joanne is preceded in death by a brother Dr. John Wanamaker, sister- in-law Marion Kennedy, brother-in-law Richard Hamilton, brother-in-law Harry Hamilton, and sister-in-law Ann Wanamaker. Survivors are sons, Thomas Hamilton of Morris, PA, John (Nikki) Hamilton of EL Segundo, CA, granddaughter, Natasha Hamilton of San Francisco, CA, brother Ralph Wanamaker, brother-in-law, Robert Kennedy, sister-in-law Margie Hamilton, and sister-in-law Dorothy Wanamaker.
