Obituary of Elizabeth May Eichelberger

Elizabeth "Betty" M. Eichelberger, age 88 of Glen Mills, PA passed on June 24, 2023 at Maris Grove. She was born October 2, 1934 and raised in Ocean Grove, NJ. After graduating from high school, she attended business school, married and started her family. Betty has resided the past 13 years in Glen Mills, PA, previously residing in Newark, DE and Hockessin, DE. Betty was a homemaker in her earlier years and a bank teller for Delaware Trust for 10 years after raising her family. She was a devoted member of Resurrection Catholic Church, Newark, DE. Betty loved helping others and volunteered with many organizations including the Ministry of Caring Emmanuel Soup Kitchen, Contact Crisis Hotline, American Cancer Society and the St. Francis Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed singing and was a longtime member of the Ocean Grove Auditorium Choir, as well as the Maris Grove Choir and Chorus. Caring for and visiting her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were top priorities for Betty. Her other interests included books, movies and traveling with family and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Marion Morton Weaver, her sister, Ruth Gainey (Bill) and brother, Charles Weaver (Joan). Betty is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, William "Bill" C Eichelberger, daughters Marion Fowler (David), Christine Dielmann, and son, William "Bill" J Eichelberger (Katie)

Grandchildren: Charlie, Anthony, Jason, Julie, Kelly, Jennifer, Carolyn, and Liam

Great grandchildren: Sam, Will, Caden, Shea, Conner, Harper, Sadie, Bowen, Belle, Finley, and Delaney.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Maris Grove Chapel, Glen Mills, PA where friends and family may visit from 2:00 - 3:00 PM. Interment will remain private.
