Obituary of Raymond M. King

Raymond M. King, age 90 of Boothwyn, PA passed away at his home on Friday, June 23, 2023 surrounded by family.  Born in Parkesville, KY, the son of Luther and Clara Honecker King, he has resided in Boothwyn, PA since 1983; previously residing in Linwood, PA.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. Ray retired in 1997 after 33 years with Wawa as a production manager. He was also a part-time school bus driver for Penncrest High School. Ray was an avid sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He enjoyed golfing and bicycling and was known for his artistic work designing and making aluminum model airplanes and boats. What he enjoyed most was spending time with his family. Raymond was a devout Catholic and a member of St. John Fisher Catholic Church.  In addition to his parents; he is preceded in death by his first and second wives, Margaret "Peggy" Kelleher King and Josephine A. King; daughter, Kathleen King; granddaughter, Jordan Garber and stepson, Jeremiah News.  Ray is survived by his children, Margaret Reeves, Ruth & Chip Garber, Raymond & Patricia King, Theresa King & Patricia & Gerry Pepeta; stepson, John News; 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and two sisters, Oneda King and Faytha Chairs.  An evening visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA.  A second visitation will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at St. John Fisher Catholic Church, 4225 Chichester Ave., Boothwyn, PA from 9:00AM to 10:15AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30AM.  Interment will follow at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.  The family suggests memorial contributions in Raymond's honor which may be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project (support.woundedwarriorproject.org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
