Obituary of Charles E. Martin

Charles E. Martin, age 78, of Upper Chichester, PA passed away on February 3, 2018. Born in Chester, PA, Charles has been a resident of Upper Chichester for the past 58 years. Charles had a passion for String Bands and looked forward to the Mummers Parade every year. He also was known as a Phillies fanatic. He enjoyed bowling and watching Action News every night. In addition to his parents, Alfred & Gertrude Stewart Martin, he is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Elsie Sweeney and Rosemary Sweeney and a nephew, Martin Sweeney. Charles is survived by his brother-in-law and wife, Joseph (Mary Lou) Sweeney Sr., 8 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday evening, 6-8PM and Saturday 9-10AM followed by funeral services at 10AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charles' memory may be made to Elwyn Bridgewater, 1 Judy Way, Aston, PA 19014.
