Obituary of Beatrice W. Cornell

Beatrice W. Cornell, age 97 of Wilmington, DE passed away on August 12, 2017 at Christiana Hospital. Born to the late Thomas & Anna Hooper Turner in Cruz, Alabama, she has resided in Wilmington since 1980. A homemaker, Beatrice was devoted to her faith and a member of the Concord Baptist Church and past member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Beatrice enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking and was known for collecting recipes. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack S. Cornell who died in 2009, a son, Robert Cornell who died in 2013 and a brother, Ted Turner. Beatrice is survived by 3 daughters, Katherine Palmer, Bernice Montes and Doris Zenz, 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren & numerous great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Friday, 2:30-3:30PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd. Garnet Valley, PA followed by funeral services at Friday at 3:30PM. Interment will be held on Monday, 10AM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
