I met Steve Blokarting on the beach in Wildwood 10 years ago. My first trip to Ivanpah is when I started to get to know Steve. Turns out, we were both from Woodlyn. He was there through his childhood, we moved when I was 10. After a windless day in the desert, we started to BS abut our past. Steve then stated "so you are a Catholic boy". I really got to know Steve when we did a blokart trip together to Loring, ME. Turns out he is a lifelong Republican, I am a liberal Democrat. Steve is Presbyterian, he married a Catholic. I am Catholic, I married a Presbyterian. Steve's Dad was in Management for Campbell's, my Dad was a hustler that dropped out of school in 9th grade. Steve went to Trade School, I went to college. Truely from different backgrounds. We decided to do a road trip to Ivanpah in 2025. We had a blast. I did most of the driving while Steve dealt with his pressing health issues. We met my middle daughter in Denver for a beer on the way out, went to Four Corners and to the southern rim of the Grand Canyon. Blokarted for a week at Ivanpah, then stopped at Glenwood Springs, CO and spent the morning in the Hot Springs. (We did go to Freemont St in Vegas one windless day for dinner. Steve had to show me the "Berlin Wall" in the men's room of one of the Casino's.) Steve knew that he was facing serious health issues but he was looking forward to treatment. Steve did express to me later on that he truly enjoyed the trip and was really glad that we did it. Unfortunately, it was his last road trip. I will always treasure the time we spent together. RIP Steve

Rest easy my friend. Thank you for the golf lessons although they did not improve my game. Paring with you on the golf course was epic.

I met Steve through my husband Pat, they work together. Steve would come to the Muskrat dinner which was held once a year and always made sure to come inside the house and say Hi to me, which was so kind. He will be missed,RIP. Condolences to his family

Steve was definitely one of a kind. Never saw him angry. Always smile on his face and a funny comment. He will be missed by everyone he touched. RIP with Jeanne my friend.

Gary and I enjoyed when Steve came to Maine with Mike and Pat and stayed at our camp and we always had dinner together the first Sunday. I am a patriots fan and Steve an Eagles fan and we would decorate the camp depending on whose team won . Steve was a wonderful man and I will cherish all the fun times we had .
