Obituary of Clara Tavarone

Clara Tavarone, age 87, of Wilmington, Delaware, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Clara was born and raised in Italy to her parents, Vincenzo and Filomena Bettua Infante. She moved to the United States in 1961 and first resided in Southwest Philadelphia before settling in Wilmington in 1984.

A devoted homemaker, Clara took great pride in her home and enjoyed gardening, cleaning, sewing, and especially her dogs Fonzie and Bella.

She will be remembered for her dedication to her family and the life she shared with them.

In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her brother, Annibale Infante, and sisters Italia Adinolfi and Rosa Pepe.

Clara is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Dominico Tavarone, her sister Alba Colangelo, as well as her many loving nephews and nieces.

A Viewing for Clara will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, 2401 St. Denis Ln., Havertown, PA.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM.
