Obituary of Adrienne R. O'Neill

Dr. Adrienne R. O'Neill, age 82, of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, passed away at her home on August 2, 2026.

Born and raised in New York, Adrienne was the daughter of the late Leonard and Norma Merkel Pfister. She had resided in Glen Mills for several years, after previously living in Boca Raton, Florida, Canton, OH and New Jersey.

Adrienne earned her Doctorate in Education and devoted her life to the field of education. Throughout her distinguished career, she served as a college president and as an educational leader with the Canton City School District. She was committed to helping students achieve higher education and was highly respected by her colleagues. Her leadership, dedication, and passion for education left a lasting impact on countless students, educators, and members of her community.

Adrienne is survived by her daughter, Vanessa (Christopher) Keenan; her granddaughter, Kayla Keenan; her brothers, Leonard (Kathleen) Pfister and Warren (The Late Karen) Pfister; as well as extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, 35 New Road, Aston, PA 19014. A Funeral Mass will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Chester Bethel Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware.
