Obituary of Jon W. Rees

Jon W. Rees, of Garnet Valley, PA. passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026, with his family by his side. He was 83 years old.

Jon was born to the late Jack and Ida Mai Rees in Paducah, KY, where he was also raised. He attended Lone Oak High School before enlisting in the Navy. In his younger days, Jon owned his own fencing and button business. While Jon was in the Navy, he was stationed in Philadelphia, where he met his wife Jaqueline Rees. He volunteered as a scout leader for his children's troop. He worked as a maintenance and turnaround planner for Sunoco and PCS for over 55 years. Outside of his work, Jon loved to play golf and take road trips to Kentucky (his hometown) and St. Louis, but most of all, he was a loving, dedicated husband and dad who loved spending time with his family.

Jon is survived by his children Brian Rees, Kevin (Jennifer) Rees, Deborah (Antonio) Narvaez, and Kimberly (Jay) Schopfer; his siblings Vicki Travers, Carl Rees, and Paul Rees, and his grandchildren Kyle, Nathan, and Elizabeth Rees.

In addition to his parents, Jon is preceded in death by his wife Jaqueline Rees, and his siblings Harold Rees, Donna Dunaway, and Jack Rees.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation Friday, July 31, 2026, 10:30 AM- 12:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM.
