Obituary of Rebecca Rose Maier

Becky was called home to Heaven early on Friday, July 17, 2026. She was 49 years young. She died peacefully at home with her family around her. She lived in Fox Field, Garnet Valley, PA with her mother Pat, her father Joe, and her nephew/godson Joey and her sister Melissa nearby.

Becky was sent to us by God on May 6, 1977 and was called home to Heaven on July 17, 2026. Born at Crozer Hospital to Pat and Joe Maier, Becky lived in Delaware County most of her life.

Becky began her education early in life. She entered the Infant Stimulation Program at six weeks old and completed her education by graduating high school in 1989 at Elwyn Davidson School in Media, PA. Becky was her class valedictorian and prom queen.

Becky was very active in Special Olympics sports. She competed in track & field, equestrian, bowling, and most especially swimming, having competed and medaled at PA State Games for many years.

Becky is survived by her mother Pat, father Joe, sister Melissa and her nephew/godson Joey, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Becky was preceded to Heaven by her grandparents Louis and Ann Rodia, Joe and Rose Maier, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Thursday July 23, 2026 from 9:30AM-11:00AM at Saint Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd. Chadds Ford, PA. A funeral mass will begin at 11:00AM. Interment will be private.
