Obituary of Janice J. Maltese

Janice J. Maltese, age 90, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Janice spent her later years living with her daughter, where she was deeply loved and cherished. She retired from GlaxoSmithKline in 2000 after a successful 20-year career as a Regional Sales Administrator.

Janice was a devoted woman of faith and a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Glen Mills, PA, and formerly St. Charles Borromeo Church in Cinnaminson, NJ. Above all else, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who found her greatest joy in spending time with those she loved. Family was the center of Janice's world. She treasured gatherings with her children, grandchildren, relatives, and friends, creating countless memories filled with laughter, warmth, and love. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and caring for others, and she will always be remembered for her legendary homemade meatballs, which brought family and friends together around her table. Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years, Daniel Maltese, who passed away in 2010; her parents, Michael and Thelma Toscano; and her sister, Joan Dolge. She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly, including her son, Daniel (Jeanmarie) Maltese; her daughter, Donna (Vincent) Long; and her eight cherished grandchildren: Danny, Cindy, Joey, Sammy, and Giana Maltese, and Vinny, Nick, and Frank Long.
