Donna, please accept my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mother. While I did not have the privilege of knowing her personally, it is evident that she was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend who made a meaningful impact on the lives of those around her. May the memories of the love and moments you shared bring you and your family comfort during this difficult time. Please know that you are in my thoughts, and I wish you peace and strength in the days ahead.

Janice was my mom's very first friend back in the early 40's in Philadelphia on Tabor Avenue. My mom would tell me stories all the time about their early years, my favorite was about the first time she had bacon at Janice's house. (My grandparents were Orthodox Jewish, so no pork!) My mom refused to eat until she could have bacon again, so my grandmother was forced to buy bacon. She bought a separate pan to fry it in and kept the bacon hidden in the back of the fridge all wrapped up. When my mom passed, Janice shared all their stories with me all the way through to adulthood, as though she was the vault keeper. I loved listening to them, the good & the bad. Hearing them all gave me such comfort. My dad married into the group, and remained friendly with Janice & Danny and made it a point to stay in touch with Janice after Danny passed. Just before he passed, my dad asked me to continue to call Janice on his behalf every Christmas. Oh the stories she told.me! What a beloved woman of God. What a beautiful well lived life she lived. I will always cherish her. May she rest in peace and rejoice in the Lord's presence holding Danny's hand.
