Obituary of George S. Moore

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Samuel Moore, 84 years old, of Linwood, Pennsylvania, who passed away peacefully in his home on June 2nd, 2026.

He was a cherished husband, father, pop-pop, and friend, and his presence will be deeply missed.

George was born on March 12th, 1942. He dedicated his life to his family and his passion for gardening. George's yard and garden were a testament to his green thumb; there was always a flower in bloom. His quick wit brightened the lives of all who knew him. George devoted 50 years of his life to Acme Markets.

George is survived by his loving wife, Jewell of 58 years. These were some of the best years of his life. He is survived by his daughter, Marci Knorr (Timothy); his daughter, Martha Moore (Matt); and his grandchildren, Gregory and Elizabeth (Matthew). George is preceded by parents Claudine and John Moore.

The visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 11:30 AM -12:30 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a family sharing at 12:30 PM.

Interment will be private.
