Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" M. Dyer
Elizabeth "Betty" M. Dyer, age 92, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, at Lankenau Hospital.
Born and raised in Yeadon, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and Mary McKenna Votta. Betty attended Notre Dame High School, Moylan, PA, graduating in 1951. She spent the past 26 years residing at Fox Hill Farm, having previously resided for 35 years in Holy Cross Parish, Springfield, PA.
She dedicated over 20 years of her career as a bank teller at PSFS Bank before retiring. Betty found joy in playing cards, traveling, reading, and planning social events, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family, her life-long “ sorority” friends, and the Fox Hill Farm community.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur J. Dyer Jr., and her brother, Richard (Maryann) Votta.
Betty is survived by her two children: James (Yvette) Dyer and Diane Elizabeth (Kevin) Mehlmann; her sibling: Maryann (Charles) Whisman; and her five cherished grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth Dyer, Catherine Anne (Peter) Eleutheriou, Emily Grace (Marshall) Dyer, Ryan Patrick Mehlmann, and Brett Arthur Mehlmann. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at The Church of the Holy Child in Wilmington, DE, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private.
