Henry Kwiatkowski

Obituary of Henry A. Kwiatkowski

Henry “Hank” A. Kwiatkowski—a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend— passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 84.

Hank’s story began in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, where he was raised and where he first developed the values that would define his life: hard work, loyalty, and kindness. He carried those values with him when he made Wilmington, Delaware his home for the past 45 years, building not just a life, but a legacy.

A skilled welder by trade, Hank dedicated more than 30 years to his work with PECO before retiring in the early 2000s. He was also a proud graduate of Lansdowne High School and continued his education at Millersville, earning his associate degree before answering the call to serve his country as a reservist in the United States Air Force during the Cuban Crisis.

Beyond his career and service, Hank was a man of passion and generosity. He loved cars, woodworking, and construction—working with his hands to create, repair, and improve. If something needed fixing, Hank was there. If someone needed help, Hank showed up without hesitation, never expecting anything in return. He didn’t have a mean bone in his body and was always a joy to be around, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

At the center of Hank’s life was his family. He shared 49 years of love and partnership with his beloved wife, Angela “Angel.” He was a proud father to Robin (Scott) McCann, Christopher Kwiatkowski, and Gregory (Diane) Kwiatkowski, and a loving grandfather to Carter and Cole McCann and Casey Sitarik. In recent years, he was blessed again as a great-grandfather to Levi and Luke.

Hank is reunited now with his parents, Henry and Elizabeth, and his siblings, Richard and Carol. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the family he adored, in the lives he touched, and in the kindness he gave so freely. May we remember Hank with both sorrow and gratitude, and carry forward the warmth and generosity he shared with us all.

Visitation and burial will remain private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hank's memory may be made to either Tourette's Syndrome (tourette.org) or St. Jude children's research (stjude.org). Online condolences may be made by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com
