Obituary of Eleanora S. Montgomery

Eleanora S. Montgomery, 94, of Media, PA, passed away on April 16, 2026, at Paoli Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Lena (Siegel) Montgomery. Eleanora had been a resident of Media since 1985. She dedicated many years of her career as a bank teller before retiring in 1994. Eleanora enjoyed puzzles and board games and keeping her mind sharp with game shows, and she had a lifelong love of animals. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Lewis Montgomery and Ruth Steinbrecher. She is survived by her son, Joe Montgomery; her granddaughter, Nicole Hynson (Charzell); her nieces, JoAnne Parker (Steve) and Karen Carlson (Chuck), Joy Ying (Vince); and her nephews, Henry Steinbrecher (Patty) and Mark Montgomery (Fritzy). A viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 22, from 10:00–11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.
