Obituary of John H. Tedens V

John H. Tedens V, age 85, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on April 5, 2026. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, John was the son of the late John H. Tedens IV and Helen Huls Tedens. He spent most of his life in Texas, and also resided for a time in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania. John proudly served his country in the United States Navy and went on to build a distinguished career as a supervisor at a nuclear power plant. Outside of his professional life, he found great joy in hunting, fishing, and boating. He was also a dedicated member of American Legion Post 507. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Tedens (2019), and his granddaughter, Jessica Howard. He is survived by his four children: John (Sharon) Howard, Michael (Joanna) Howard, Janine (Dan) Howard-O'Rangers, and John H. Tedens VI. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren—Jason, Matthew, Alicia, Jennifer, Janet, Justin, Mason, and Michael Jr.—and four great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish his memory. A viewing will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM.
