Obituary of Tami Irene Shahadi

Tami Irene Shahadi, of Wilmington, DE, passed away at her home on April 5, 2026. She was 65 years old.

She was born in Delaware County to the late Jamus Griffin and Constance (née Narvell) Griffin. She enjoyed cooking, making drinks for others, and collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia, but above all else, she loved spending time with her family—especially her grandchildren. Whenever her grandchildren had an event, she was there to support them. Tami had a generous spirit and a natural ability to care for others. She lovingly cared for her mother and mother-in-law during times of illness and opened her home to friends and family in need.

Tami is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew Shahadi; her children, Dennis (Sarah) McConnell, Jr., Brian McConnell, Jeremy (Dana) Shahadi, Nicole (Alan) Shahadi, and Benjamin Shahadi; her siblings, Michael (Shirley) Griffin, Thomas (Janet) Griffin, and Rick Griffin; and her grandchildren, Michael McConnell, Jeremy Shahadi, Jr., Ashlynn Boates, Elijah Shahadi, and Dennis McConnell, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Tami was preceded in death by her siblings, Jamus Griffin, Jr., and Larona Walls.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Interment will take place at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, PA.
