Obituary of John Thomas Faulkner
John “Jack” Thomas Faulkner, 87, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away on February 14, 2026, at Sunrise of Westtown Senior Living Community.
Born in Chester, PA, Jack was the son of the late James and Marion McMenamin Faulkner and grew up in Norwood. He graduated from St. James High School in 1956. Following graduation, Jack proudly served in the United States Navy for four years.
Jack was a devoted member of St. Cornelius Catholic Church, where he often volunteered during holiday events. He was also a lifetime member of St. James High School Alumni and a member of Delaware Veterans Post #1. A lifelong sports fan, Jack was an enthusiastic supporter of the Philadelphia Phillies and Notre Dame football, frequently traveling to attend their games. Above all else, he cherished time spent with his grandchildren who knew him affectionately as “Pappy” and especially loved attending his grandson’s baseball and soccer games.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Sharon "Sherry" L. Faulkner; his children Cindi (Jay) Moore, Jack Faulkner Jr., and Susan (Tim) Myers; his grandchildren Erin and Jason Moore, Joey and Samantha Myers, and Kerstynn Montgomery; and his great-grandchildren, Emma and Connor Montgomery.
In addition to his parents, Jack is predeceased by his brothers James Faulkner Jr. and George Faulkner.
