Obituary of David B. Chambers
David Bruce Chambers, 81 years old from Millsboro Delaware, passed away on Thursday January 29th 2026.
He was born on January 20th, 1945, to Earl and Florence Lane Chambers. He graduated from Claymont High School in 1964. He enlisted in the United States Navy where he enjoyed working in the galley as a cook on the Naval ships. Here is where his love of cooking and baking began. He enjoyed making his special sticky buns and cakes. He had hoped to one day own a food truck and travel the country with it.
He enjoyed traveling and lived in many different states over the years. But what he really cherished most was spending time with family and especially with his grandchildren. He loved music and to dance. He would get out on the dance floor and look out. He took over the whole floor.
He is survived by his wife Diane. His children Annamarie Rodgers of Newark, DE, Tricia Krips(Bill) of Atco, NJ, Earl McVarga (Kelly) of Fort Worth, Texas, Dawn Miller of Dover, DE. Flo and Danny Chambers of SC. 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, His brothers Earl" Skip" Chambers, Harvey "Mike "Chambers and sister Gertrude Manna. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Francis "Joe" Chambers, sister E Louise Becker and son David Chambers.
Interment will be private at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Delaware. A Memorial Service will be held at a future date.
