Obituary of James C. Kagel
James C. Kagel (“Jim”), of Wilmington, Delaware, a devoted husband and proud Navy veteran, was called home to the Lord on December 28, 2025 at the age of 83.
Jim was born and raised in Folsom, Pennsylvania, to the late Albert Sr. and Leona Wassmer Kagel. He was a graduate of Ridley High School, Class of 1960, and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War.
He served his country with honor and lived his life grounded in faith, duty, and love of family. Having fought the good fight, he now rests in God’s eternal peace. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Cathy Palma Kagel; his daughter, Francine Miksche and her husband Uwe Miksche and his sister, Joyce Wilson, who take comfort in the promise of everlasting life.
May he rest in peace, and may his service and faith be forever remembered.
