Obituary of Agnes Ann LoSasso

Agnes Ann LoSasso, age 85, of East Goshen, PA, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.

Agnes was born in Philadelphia and raised in Narberth, Pennsylvania, where she grew up in a close-knit Irish household as one of nine siblings.

A graduate of Lower Merion High School, Agnes worked in her early years at Strawbridge & Clothier in Suburban Square, where her trends of personal style first took shape. She met her husband, Paul E. LoSasso, Jr., at a mixer that brought together city and suburban high schools. Following graduation, she worked with her sister Marie as a file clerk at Philadelphia's 30th Street Station.

During Paul's military service overseas, she joined Bell Telephone Laboratories, starting in switchboard and telephone exchange operations during a period of rapid growth in the Philadelphia region. Agnes then brought her experience, expertise, and operational excellence to LoSasso Electric Co., Inc., working alongside her husband Paul to expand electrical engineering and contracting services across the Philadelphia tri-state area. Together, they proudly contributed to the region's growth and development—wiring residential and commercial real estate with power and telecommunications infrastructure throughout the area.

Agnes and Paul raised their family on a farm in East Goshen Township, where they kept horses and dogs in their earlier years. They were residents of West Chester, PA for over 50 years and spent weekends on the bay in Ocean City, New Jersey for 40 years. Her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother. Known affectionately as "Ag," she was a constant presence—never living more than a few minutes away, stopping by often, and attending every milestone, game, event, recital, and celebration. Always ahead of the curve, she required little to no "tech support," kept up effortlessly with the world's changes, often teaching her grandchildren a thing or two along the way. She was also a highly devoted sister, aunt, and friend, also known as "Aggie" to many she loved. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, intelligence, independence, humor, warmth, impeccable style, and being razor-sharp until the very end.

In addition to her parents, Bernard and Mary McCary McCabe, Sr., Agnes was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul E. LoSasso, Jr. (2015), and her siblings Bernard McCabe, Jr., Kathleen Welsh, and Theresa Fitzgerald.

She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Pappano and Elizabeth Mitros; her four cherished grandchildren, Joseph Pappano IV, Kristina Pappano, Sara Pappano, and Hannah Mitros; her siblings Marie Yuskavage, Donald McCabe, Frank McCabe, Eileen Malloy, and Barbara McCabe; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st, from 5:00–7:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, and again on Monday, December 22nd, at St. Cornelius Catholic Church, 160 Ridge Road, Chadds Ford, PA, from 9:30–10:15 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA.
