Obituary of Sarah V. Adams
Sarah V. Adams, age 101, of Claymont, Delaware, passed away peacefully at her home on December 13, 2025. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Sarah lived in Claymont for more than 30 years, having previously resided in Wallingford, Pennsylvania.
A devoted homemaker, Sarah dedicated her life to her family and her church. As the wife of a minister, she was deeply involved in church life and took great joy in caring for others—especially her beloved granddaughters. Known as one of the sweetest people anyone could ever meet, Sarah was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and her husband Charles, were exceptional parents and grandparents, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Sarah and Charlie were always the best example of what a marriage should be like. They were true soul mates and complemented each other perfectly! They were always such a blessing to so many and were so much fun to be around.
Sarah adored her granddaughters and cherished time spent with them, enjoying sleepovers, tea parties, and all the simple joys of childhood. She also had a wonderful sense of humor and a playful, silly side. A lifelong, die-hard Phillies fan, Sarah cheered faithfully through every win and loss. She was also a lifelong dog lover and treasured the many dogs she had throughout her life.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Adeline Johnson Goldsborough; her beloved husband of 62 years, Charles Adams, who affectionately called her "Sally Virginia"; and five siblings. Sarah and Charles shared a deep and enduring devotion. In the final years of Charles's life, Sarah lovingly and tirelessly cared for him, a true testament to her strength, compassion, and character.
She is survived by her son, C. Timothy Adams (Sally Morton); her granddaughters, Jennifer Adams and Julie (Joe) Taylor; and her great-granddaughters, Katie and Molly Eckendorf.
