Obituary of Florence M. Hamalak

Florence M. Hamalak, age 76, of Trainer, PA, passed away on November 28, 2025, at Cadia Broadmeadow Nursing Home.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Florence Herman Phillips. Florence had resided in Trainer for the past 36 years. She worked as a waitress for over 20 years before retiring.

Florence enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, reading, and savoring an ice-cold Pepsi. Devoted to her faith, she regularly attended Mass at Holy Rosary Church in Claymont, DE.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Hamalak, who passed away in 2017. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Matt) Ozor; brother, Allen Phillips; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Alexander; nieces, Danielle (Don) Stauffer and Stephanie (Todd) Stroh; and nephew, Adam (Billie Jo) Phillips; five great-nieces and one great-nephew.

The family would like to thank her neighbors, Sherry Turek, Chris and Kelly Singley for all of their help and support over the years.

A viewing for Florence will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA 19060. An additional viewing will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 9:00–10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM.
