Obituary of Jennifer L. Crissman

Jennifer Lynn Crissman, age 41, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on November 27, 2025, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Born in Media, PA, she was the daughter of George W. McKinney and the late Elizabeth Seeley McKinney. Jennifer made her home in Wilmington for the past ten years, previously residing in Upper Chichester, PA.

Jennifer was a Supervisor of Patient Financial Services at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and previously was employed at Nemours Children's Hospital in Wilmington, DE. A proud graduate of Chichester High School, Class of 2003, Jen went on to earn her bachelor's degree in History from West Chester University, where she also served as president of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. She later received her Master of Business Administration from the University of Delaware. Deeply committed to supporting families with medically complex children, Jennifer recently, along with her husband, became a part of the Focus Support Group at Nemours Children's Hospital and was an active member of PACT (Parents and Care Team) for bereavement. Jen's greatest joy, however, was being a mother and wife and spending time with her family and friends. Jen was such a loving and caring person, who always knew what to say or do in any situation. She could light up any room with her smile, her laugh and of course, her stories. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will live on through the many lives and hearts that she touched.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Seeley McKinney who died in 2017, and her precious three-year-old daughter, Harper Bailey Crissman who died in 2022.

Jennifer is survived by her loving husband of 7 years, Steven J. Crissman; cherished son, Jackson Crissman; father, George W. McKinney; sisters, Shelley (Mike) Fetrow, Kimberly (Mike) Blatteau and Kathleen (Mike) Tiernan; father and mother in law, James and Cynda Crissman and sisters in law, Jami (Gary) Isaacs, Lauren Crissman (Thomas Urbanus), and Stacie Crissman. She will also be remembered fondly by her loving nieces and nephews and other extended family.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment, Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
