Obituary of Michelle Lee Diamond

Michelle Lee "Shelley" Diamond, 45, passed away on November 18, 2025, at Lancaster General Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Michael Nisteruk who died in 2002 and the late Laura Caroll Diamond who died in 2004.

Born in Upper Darby, Shelley grew up in Lester, Pennsylvania, and graduated in 2001 from the Overbrook School for the Blind. She was a devoted and longtime participant in the Special Olympics, the ARC of Chester County, and Compass Point of Downingtown.

Shelley had a joyful spirit and a deep love of music, especially the songs of Elton John and Billy Joel. She was also wonderfully creative—well known for crafting special potholders for her loved ones and for her enjoyment of knitting.

Shelley is survived by her loving Aunt Theresa and Uncle Denis Sheils, with whom she lived for seventeen years, as well as her Uncle Alex and Aunt Barbara Nisteruk. She is also survived by her cousins, Frankie (Maria) Sheehan, Michael (Kate) Sheils, Chrissy (Bill) Pszoniak, Billy Pszoniak Jr., Breanna Pszoniak, Brandon Pszoniak, and Alex Nisteruk III. along with many extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Anna Nisteruk (2014) who lovingly cared for her; her grandfather, Alexander Nisteruk (1969); and her cousin, Alex Nisteruk Jr.

Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
