Obituary of James DiSantis
James (Jim) DiSantis, age 87, of Brookhaven, PA, passed away suddenly on November 13, 2025, at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, PA.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, James enjoyed a successful and respected thirty-eight-year career as a machine operator with the Scott Paper Company and Kimberly-Clark. Following his retirement, Jim continued working as a security officer at the Granite Run Mall and Neumann University, where he was cherished by colleagues and community members alike.
In 1975, he married the love of his life and his soulmate, Donna Staub, and together they recently celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. They made their home in Brookhaven, Pennsylvania for more than forty-five years, previously residing in Upper Chichester, PA.
Jim was a longtime member of EOS, Every Other Saturday Bowling League at the Conchester Bowlero. He loved a good picnic at Creekside Swim Club in Wallingford, PA, and a barbecue at Garrison Lake in New Jersey. Always cheering for his beloved Eagles and Phillies, and most of all, attending his late grandson Vincent's baseball games while admiring, with pride and joy, his granddaughter Lexi's dedication to pursuing a career in nursing.
Fondly remembered as a truly kind and gracious gentleman, Jim took great pride in caring for his family and always giving his best to others.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Donna; his grandchildren Alexia George, Payton Connelly, and Jake Majka; his daughter Danielle (Mike) Majka; his nephews Joseph (Annette) Hargadon of Aston and Martin (Jeff) Hargadon of Eugene, Oregon; and his nieces Karen (Thomas) Daly of Aston and Theresa Hawkins of Chester Township. In addition to his parents and siblings, he was predeceased by his cherished grandson, Vincent Carter, Jr., in 2021 and his great niece, Kelli Hargadon in 2009. Jim is also survived by many great-nieces, two great- great nephews and three great-great nieces.
Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, November 20th, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by his funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Lawn Croft Cemetery in Linwood, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Red Cross.
