Obituary of David A. Ferguson
David A. Ferguson, 77, of Linwood, PA, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, at Bayhealth Hospital, Dover, Delaware.
David was raised in Linwood, and a lifelong Linwood, PA resident. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, stationed in Berlin during the Vietnam Era. Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Dolores (Verostek) Ferguson, with whom he shared many wonderful years until her passing in 2021.
David dedicated 44 years to the Scott Paper Company, later Kimberly-Clark, where he was a respected Safety Facilitator retiring 2008.
Deeply rooted in his community, David was a lifetime member of the Lower Chichester Fire Company and a devoted member and trustee of Linwood Heights United Methodist Church. He was also a proud member of the Upland Marine Corps League.
David had many passions throughout his life — hunting in Tioga County, deep-sea fishing, crabbing, and cheering for his beloved Phillies and Eagles. Above all, he treasured time spent with his grandchildren and his "grandpets," who brought him endless joy.
In addition to his wife, Dolores Verostek Ferguson, David is preceded in death by his father, Francis H. Ferguson.
He is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Paul) Siminuk of DE; his son, David (Michelle) Ferguson; his grandchildren, Paul and Lila Siminuk, and David Ferguson; and his sister, Judy (Steve) McReynolds.
