John was a great resource and light to our St. Rose community. His enthusiasm and knowledge allowed for our scholars to grow in their speech development during his time at St. Rose. As you all know, John was such a wonderful person, and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him for so many years and call him my friend. I'll always remember the way he made everyone laugh, took time out to simply chat, and how he made all his students feel special. May his family find comfort in knowing John was adored by all and he is at Peace now. He will never be forgotten.

To the family of John Voelker, may God cover you with his warmth and love during this time of mourning. When I first started my counseling career at CORA, I met John at St. Francis De Sales. And just like the many people I have had the privilege of meeting in this organization, he was very warm, friendly and open to me. He was an amazing colleague, and he was passionate when it came to his work with the students. Rest in Peace John, and thank you for the time we shared.

John was such a joy to work with when we worked on teams together at Elwyn. He always made each day so enjoyable. John’s personality, sense of humor and presence made him so special not only to me but with the children he worked with. He most definitely left his special imprint on many, many children. Thank you for helping to make my time at Elwyn so enjoyable John. You will be so missed by so many. My thoughts and prayers go out to John’s family and friends and to all that loved him. John was an amazing man and professional. His career enabled him to change the lives of thousands of children, giving them the gift of speaking. He was a cherished team member here at Our Mother of Sorrows/ St. Ignatius Catholic School in West Phila. We will hold him in prayer!
