Obituary of Patricia A. Frail

Patricia A. Frail, age 86, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at AccentCare Hospice at Christiana Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Chester, PA, Patricia spent the past 21 years in Middletown, DE. She previously lived in Bethel Township and Concord Township.

A devoted educator, Patricia dedicated 40 years to teaching at the Elwyn Institute, where she touched countless lives before retiring in 2003.

Patricia found joy in swimming, crafts, birdwatching, and traveling, but her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ethel (Hall) Schlipf; her beloved husband, Gerald J. Frail, who passed away in 1984; her son-in-law, Daniel Sweigart, in 2017; her sister, Dot Stull; and brothers, Harry and Robert Schlipf.

Patricia is survived by her loving children, Cindy Sweigart, James (Dana) Frail, and David (Maureen) Frail; her brother, George Schlipf; sisters, Beverly Coulter and Karen Albert; grandchildren, Daniel (Tammie) Sweigart Jr., Hannah (Will) Roberts, Zachary, Mackenzie, and Kirsten Frail; and great-grandchildren, Brayden Sweigart and Caldwell Roberts.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, October 31st, from 10:00–11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately.
