Obituary of Suzanne Carlen

Suzanne Carlen, Age 79, of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025.

Born in Chadds Ford, PA, to her parents, Frank and Mildred Cooper, Suzanne later lived in Concordville and Aston. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her.

Suzanne loved crocheting and spending her Saturday nights playing Bingo at The American Legion Post 926, where she was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and enjoyed tracing her family roots on Ancestry. Her passion for genealogy led her to discover and connect with many relatives, and she took great joy in organizing several family reunions.

In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Carlen Sr. who passed in April of 2001; her brother, Bob Cooper; and her companion, Jim Weiss.

She is survived by her six children: William Cooper (Helen), Jacqueline Dopira (the late Bob Dopira), Patty Pruitt (Bud), Dawn Wildrick (Steve), Tina Mast (Harold), and LeRoy Carlen Jr. (Jennifer); her brother, Steve Cooper; sixteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

A viewing for Suzanne will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston, PA.
