Obituary of Kathleen R. Murphy

Kathleen R. Murphy, age 76 passed away peacefully on October 16,2025 at Maris Grove's Rose Court Nursing Home in Glen Mills,PA. Kathleen's parents were John Ford and Pauline Clay. She is survived by her husband, Kevin Murphy, son, Chris Dawson, daughter, Dawn McCloskey, granddaughters, Morgan, Taylor and Nicole, sisters, Pauline Amoroso and Anna Thompson, her special niece, Brandi Colbert and daughter in law, Judy McKendrick. Kathy, was a RN for over 20 years in the ICU at Christiana Care. She had a passion for nursing and helping people. Kathy's greatest joy was her conversion to Catholicism. She was very devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and our Blessed Mother. She enjoyed reading books about WWII heroes and heroines that helped her get through her long and difficult illness. She made friends easily and loved to laugh and have conversations with her caregivers. Kathy's family and her caregivers held a special place in her heart. Kathy was very proud of her granddaughters, Morgan who attends the United States Naval Academy and Nicole at the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan. Kathy and Kevin were very thankful for the outstanding compassion and care provided by the nurses, CNAs and management of Rose Court Nursing Home and Willow Tree Hospice, each day with them was a blessing.
