Obituary of Rocco F. DiPaola

Rocco DiPaola, age 91, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025, at Little Flower Manor.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Luigi and Maria (Marcucci) DiPaola, Rocco was a longtime resident of Springfield, PA, since 1976, after previously residing in Glenolden, PA.

Rocco was a Manufacturing Engineer at General Electric. During retirement he also worked many years at Aronimink Golf Club. He was a devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Springfield and was active with the Italian American Club for many years. He also was a Knight at the Knights of Columbus. Rocco enjoyed golfing, socializing with friends, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.

A proud veteran, Rocco honorably served his country in the United States Army, spending two years stationed in Hanau, Germany. In addition to his parents, Rocco was preceded in death by his son, Daniel DiPaola, and siblings Vincenza "Minnie," Anna, Dominic, Edith, Josephine, and Rita.

 

He is survived by his loving wife Loretta (Laurelli) DiPaola; his children Denise (Michael) DiPaola Imperatore, Michelle (Nick) DeLiberty, Nichole (Brian) Romesburg, and David (Melissa) DiPaola; his sister Grace; nine grandchildren, Selena, Angelina, James, Alexa, Isabella, Sophia, Nicholas, Colette, and Rocco.

 

Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA 19060. A second visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 10:15-11:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Springfield, PA, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM.
