Obituary of Nicole G. Gartside

Nicole "Nikki" G. Gartside, age 52, of Wilmington, DE, passed away suddenly on September 17, 2025, at Christiana Hospital.

Born in Chester, PA, and raised in Linwood, PA, Nikki resided in Wilmington for the past five years and was a longtime resident of Linwood before that. She worked as an office manager with Sentry Alarm Co. for the past 17 years. A 1991 graduate of Chichester High School, Nikki will be remembered for her creativity and loving spirit. She enjoyed crafting, DIY projects, sign-making, avid shopper, gardening, cooking, baking, and painting. She also had a special gift for caring for the elderly and was a devoted animal lover, especially fond of cats.

Nikki was preceded in death by her father, Joseph A. Francis Sr., stepfather, John Muschelli, stepmother, Patricia Shelton Francis, and Aunt Jean (Francis) Mckeeman. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Shane Gartside, her son, Anthony Joseph Gartside, her mother, Gail Sheppard Muschelli, mother-in-law, Betty L. Gartside,  siblings, Joseph (Kathleen) Francis, Christian (Charmaine) Francis, and Joseph Jackalous, sister-in-law, Melanie Jackalous, brother-in-law, Thomas I. (Kristina) Gartside III., uncle, Steve McKeeman aunts, Sandra Sheppard Pry and Nicole Emmi, nieces and nephews, Julia, Christian Jr., and Aiden Francis, Joseph, Andrew, and Joshua Jackalous, Heather (Brett) Bierman, and Thomas I. Gartside IV; as well as numerous cousins and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 202,5 from 9:00–11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
