Obituary of Thomas M. Gildea

Thomas M. Gildea, age 72, of Media, PA, passed away on September 7, 2025. Tom resided in Media and Glen Mills PA.

A retired Certified Public Accountant, Tom worked for American Water Company, Amtrak and Verizon. He was a proud graduate of Villanova University, earning his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. A lifelong  Villanova basketball supporter and an avid Philadelphia sports fan, Tom also enjoyed golfing, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.  Tom was predeceased in death by his parents, Thomas and Catherine Smith Gildea.  

Tom is survived by his sisters, Kathleen (Joseph) Fiorelli and Mary Pat (Daniel) DiBona; his nieces and nephews, Daniel (Nicole) DiBona, Devyn (Perry) Greto, Thomas Fiorelli, and Alyssa DiBona; and six great-nephews and one great-niece. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Monday, September 15th, from 9:15 to 10:15 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Old Catholic Church, 430 Valleybrook Road, Glen Mills, PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
