Obituary of Robert DeCicco
Robert DeCicco, age 63, of Garnet Valley, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on August 23, 2025.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Robert had lived in Garnet Valley for the past 28 years, previously residing in Brookhaven, PA. Robert graduated from Southern High School where he also played football.
He was employed as a Pressman with the Philadelphia Inquirer for many years, where he also at one time served proudly as the president of the Graphic Communications Conference (GCC) Teamsters Union.
Robert was a devoted Eagles fan and all around Philadelphia sports fan. Known as an excellent cook, Robert loved nothing more than gathering with family and friends around the table. Above all, he cherished being a husband, a father and “Pop-Pop” to his beloved grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Anthony R. DeCicco, and his mother, Lucille Pagliaro Canale. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Gabriella Sgambato DeCicco; his children, Elisa (Bryce) Kershaw, Alexandra (Christopher Berry) DeCicco, and Robert DeCicco; his brothers, twin Ronald DeCicco and Roger DeCicco; his stepfather, Pete Canale; and his treasured grandchildren, Easton and Bria Kershaw.
Family and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday August 28th at 9:30 am at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 am. Interment will remain private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s memory may be made to either ACPMP (appendix cancer) or PMPPALS (PMP Pals).
