Obituary of Jean C. Broemel

Jean C. Broemel, age 95, of Media, PA, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025, at Lima Estates. Born and raised in White Plains, NY, Jean made her home at Lima Estates for the past 10 years, having previously lived in Glen Mills for 45 years. A dedicated and compassionate professional, she worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement, devoting her career to caring for others. Jean was affectionately known as "everyone's sweetheart." She embraced life with joy and energy, whether roller skating in her younger years, playing the piano, tending to her gardens, or working outdoors in her yard. A woman of deep faith, Jean was a longtime member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Glen Mills, where she faithfully served as an usher. In addition to her parents, Charles and Agnes Lewis Fischer, Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband of many years, Carl Broemel, who passed away in 2015. She is lovingly survived by her children, Lynn (Lou) Olivieri and Rick (Maryanne) Broemel; her cherished grandchildren, Amanda (Chris) Sumner and Kristin (Joe) Manlandrucco; and her six great-grandchildren, Chester, Rose, Violet, Skyler, Taylor, and Calvin. Family and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, August 27th, from 10:00–10:30 AM at St. John's Episcopal Church, 576 Concord Road, Glen Mills, PA, followed by her Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private at Edgewood Memorial Park, Glen Mills, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean's memory may be made to the Brandywine SPCA at www.bvspca.org
