Obituary of Bryan Steven Munzon-Leon

It is with deep sorrow and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Bryan Steven Munzon-Leon, age 21, of Philadelphia, PA, who tragically drowned while swimming with his brother Alex and friends.

Born and raised in Cuenca, Ecuador, Bryan was the beloved son of Klever Munzon-Sarmiento and Sara Cecilia Leon-Compoverde. He grew up surrounded by love, laughter and bonds with family and friendship. He had made his home in Philadelphia for the past year and a half and was employed as a Warehouse Associate with Amazon.

Bryan will be remembered for his love of music, movies, dancing, and sports—especially fútbol, volleyball, and tennis. He brought joy and warmth to everyone that spent time with him. He was a kind and compassionate young man. In keeping with his kind spirit, Bryan's family decided to donate his organs through The Gift of Life Donor Program. Presently, Bryan has saved 5 lives. His legacy will live on not only in our hearts but also in those he saved.

In addition to his parents, Bryan is survived by his siblings, Christian Munzon-Leon, Alex Munzon-Leon, and Lisseth Munzon-Leon; his grandparents, Miguel Munzon, Blanca Sarmiento, Miguel Leon, and Rosa Compoverde; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA 19060. A Friends and Family Sharing will begin at 5:00 PM and will be livestreamed via the Pagano Funeral Home Facebook page as well as on our website at www.paganofuneralhome.com. Con profundo dolor y con los corazones rotos les anunciamos el fallecimiento de Bryan Steven Munzon-Leon, de 21 años, de Filadelfia, PA, que se ahogó trágicamente mientras nadaba con su hermano Alex y sus amigos.

Nacido y criado en Cuenca, Ecuador, Bryan fue el querido hijo de Klever Munzon-Sarmiento y Sara Cecilia Leon-Compoverde. Creció rodeado de amor, risas y lazos con la familia y amistades. Había hecho su hogar en Filadelfia durante el último año y medio y trabajó como asociado de almacén en Amazon.

Bryan será recordado por su amor por la música, el cine, el baile y los deportes, especialmente el fútbol, el voleibol y el tenis. Trajo alegría y calidez a todos los que pasaban tiempo con él. Era un joven amable y compasivo. De acuerdo con su espíritu amable, la familia de Bryan decidió donar sus órganos a través del programa de donantes The Gift of Life. Actualmente, Bryan ha salvado 5 vidas. Su legado amará no solo en nuestros corazones, sino también en aquellos que salvó.

Además de sus padres, Bryan sobrevive en sus hermanos, Christian Munzon-Leon, Alex Munzon-Leon y Lisseth Munzon-Leon; sus abuelos, Miguel Munzon, Blanca Sarmiento, Miguel Leon y Rosa Compoverde; y muchas tías, tíos, primos y amigos que lo apreciaban mucho .

Se llevará a cabo la velacion el viernes 8 de Agosto de 2025, de 3:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m. en la funeraria Pagano, 3711 Foulk Rd, Garnet Valley, PA 19060. El intercambio de experiencias vividas entre amigos y familiares comenzará a las 5:00 p. m. y se transmitirá en vivo a través de la página de Facebook de Pagano Funeral Home, así como en nuestro sitio web en www.paganofuneralhome.com.
