Obituary of Jeffrey C. Bowers

Jeffrey Bowers Sr., 71, of Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 28, 2025 at his home.

Jeff proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He went on to build a successful career as a Financial Specialist with Janney in Philadelphia, where he was respected by colleagues and clients alike.

Jeff had a passion for sailing, cherished time spent at the Jersey Shore and on the Chesapeake Bay, and found great joy in cooking for family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 13 years, Kathi Stocki, and their spirited dog, Trudy as well as his Mother-in-Law Edna Stocki and Brother in law Robert A. Stocki. He also leaves behind his daughter, Jennifer Smith and her Husband Steven, son Jonathan Bowers and his wife Anna. Also his sister Mary and two brothers, John (Jack) Bowers and James Bowers. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacob, Christopher, Isla, Stone, and a great granddaughter.  Jeff will be dearly missed by many extended family members, friends, and colleagues.

Jeff was preceded in death by his son in 2021, Jeffrey Christopher Bowers Jr., of Wilmington.

Jeff will be laid to rest privately with a future Celebration of Life to be determined.
