Obituary of Lois A. Hopper
Lois A. Hopper, age 85, of Claymont, DE, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter where she has been living with for the past 2 year on July 27, 2025.
Born and raised in Chester, PA, graduated in1958 from Chester High School. Lois spent the last 54 years living in Claymont, DE, after previously residing in Colwyn, PA. In her early years, she worked as a secretary to the vice president of Southeast National Bank and was a devoted member of the Church of the Atonement.
Lois had a love for traveling to Disney World, Dolly Wood and the East Coast and cherished her monthly lunches with "the ladies," visiting her childhood friend in upstate Pennsylvania, watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles with her daughter, Lynn and, above all, found her greatest joy in spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Catherine (Hinkel) Urian, her husband Fred B. Hopper, who passed in 2006, and three siblings, Charles Urian, Howard Urian, and Sandra Amalfitano.
Lois is survived by her three children, Lynn (Marc) Peters, Ron (Emily) Hopper, and Sandra (Chuck) Simpson; six grandchildren, Chris Peters, Rev. Jeffrey Peters and fiancée' Kristin Dantzler, Nate (Hannah) Hopper, Ian Hopper, Steven Simpson, and Ryan Simpson; and her great granddaughter, Adelaise Hopper and great grandson Silvanis (Salis) Hopper and godson, Tony Amalfitano.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA 19060. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Lawn Croft Cemetery.
