Obituary of Barbara A. Sanders

Barbara "Barb" A. Sanders, age 82, of Boothwyn, PA, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025 at Riddle Hospital.

Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, Barb spent the past 7 years residing in Boothwyn, PA, having previously lived most of her life in Wilmington. A dedicated and hardworking woman, Barb was self-employed as a housekeeper for 40 years before retiring in 2010.

Barb found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a love of collectibles of Elvis memorabilia and porcelain dolls and her love for Elvis’s music. She enjoyed watching television crime dramas, gathering with family and friends, indulging her sweet tooth, and, most of all, spending cherished time babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, James and Jennie (Kozicki) Day, Barb was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John E. Sanders, who passed away in 1991.

She is survived by her four children: John (Sharon) Sanders, William Sanders, Deborah (David) West, and Michael (Kristin) Sanders; her three sisters: Irene (Anthony) Guteluis, Joanne Semple, and Mary Day; eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barb's memory may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor (www.littlesistersofthepoordelaware.org). Online condolences may be shared at www.paganofuneralhome.com.
