Obituary of Thomas George Middleton Sr.

Thomas "Tom" George Middleton Sr., age 77, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2025, at Chester County Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Boothwyn, Tom had called West Chester home for the past 37 years. He was a proud graduate of Chichester High School, Class of 1965, and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Tom dedicated 40 years of his career as a control operator with ConocoPhillips, retiring in 2010. In his younger years, he was a member of the Reliance Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting in Tioga County and had a passion for classic cars. One of his greatest joys was taking his 1933 Ford to car shows alongside his son and his son's 1967 Mustang convertible.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Nellie Gregory Middleton. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Diane Lynne Bailey Middleton, his devoted son, Thomas George Middleton Jr., and his daughter-in-law, Ally.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, July 10th, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
