Obituary of Philip Anthony Greto

Philip Anthony Greto, age 87, of Aston, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on June 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Eddystone, PA to the late Anthony Greto and Mary (Pellegrino) Greto. Philip lived in Aston for the past 52 years and previously resided in Chester, PA. He was a 1956 graduate of St. James High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Philip was a dedicated barber for over 60 years. He enjoyedgolfing, fly fishing and being down the shore. He was also a passionate cook. Philip cherished time spent playing cards with his brothers, but most of all, he loved being with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Greto and sister, Dolores Hernick.

Philip is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Sandy Cliff Greto, and his children: Rae Ann Greto, Adam (Bernadette) Greto. Philip was a loving grandfather to Jonathan (Jessica) Melone, Patrick Melone, Jr., Allesandra Smith, and Anthony Smith. He is also survived by his siblings Anthony “Hoker” Greto, Elizabeth “Cissie” Ianucci, Vincent Greto, Mary Ann “Mares” Goebel, Alberta “Pinky” Radisch, Rita Orpello, Rose Grant, Carmen Greto, Nicholas Greto and many nieces and nephews. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Philip’s memory may be made to Ennoble Hospice Care.
