Obituary of Nelson J. Abbott

Nelson J. Abbott, age 78, of Boothwyn, PA passed away on June 15th, 2025 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Chester, PA and raised in Linwood, PA, Nelson has resided the past 60 years in Boothwyn where he and his wife, Pat raised their family.

Nelson was a skilled Sheet Metal worker where he retired from Sam Ward Manufacturing in Chester Heights, PA. In addition to being a Phillies fan, Nelson enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren at the Delaware Beaches. During his children's years, he was active with the CBL where he served as president and also coached his children's teams.

Nelson is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia A. Herd Abbott, 4 children, Denise (John) Garrity, Nelson (Nicole) Abbott Jr., Michele (John) Troutman and Mark (Heidi) Abbott, 8 grandchildren, Alexa & Ryan Garrity, Timothy & Lily Abbott, Jack & Mackenzie Troutman & Sophie & Benjamin Abbott and 3 great grandchildren, Jaxon, Oliver & Connor.
