Obituary of Christopher M. Devine

Christopher M. Devine, age 62, of Folcroft, PA, passed away on June 12, 2025, at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital.

Born in Darby, PA and raised in Broomall, Chris had called Folcroft home for the past 28 years. A 1980 graduate of Cardinal O'Hara High School, Chris began his working life at the Swell Bubble Gum Factory, where he remained until its closure. He later transitioned into the medical field, working in various local doctors' offices where he was known for his friendly and caring nature.

A man of many interests, Chris had a deep love for music. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing, and was rarely without a tune in his head. He also loved to cook and was a devoted fan of Philadelphia sports—cheering on the Flyers, Phillies, and Eagles with unwavering loyalty. Above all, Chris had a special bond with animals, especially his beloved cat, Mama, and his loyal dog, Pete.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, S. Matthew and Bernice (Parent) Devine. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kathi J. Boese' whom he met while working at Swell Bubble Gum Factory; his stepson, Jamie Boese'; his brother, Mark Devine and wife Marie; his niece, Adriana Devine; his nephew, Steven Devine and wife Lisa; six great-nephews, and one great-niece who brought him joy.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a memorial service at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris's memory may be made to www.saintbernard.rescueme.org or to an animal rescue organization of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.paganofuneralhome.com.
