Obituary of Charles H. Seran

Charles “Chuck” H. Seran, age 102, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away suddenly on June 14, 2025.

Born, raised, and educated in Newfield, NJ, Chuck resided for the past 15 years at Maris Grove in Glen Mills, previously making his home for many years in Clifton Heights, PA.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Chuck served in the Armed Guard during World War II. Following his military service, he worked for many years as a service manager at Mac & Sam Auto and Truck Repair in Aldan, PA. Earlier in life, he was an apprentice glassblower in Glassboro, NJ—a trade that reflected his strong work ethic and skilled hands.

Chuck was a longtime member of both the Media VFW Post 3460 and the Darby VFW Post 598. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and billiards, but nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Ralph and Mildred (Smith) Seran, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 79 years, Effie A. Seran (2022); his brother, Ralph Seran Jr.; and his sister, Marian.

Chuck is survived by his loving son, Clifford Seran Sr.; his cherished grandchildren, Krista Seran, Stephanie (Ryan) Shainline, and Clifford (Alison) Seran Jr.; and six adored great-grandchildren: Gabriella, Paul, Victoria, Alexandria, Griffin, and Daphne.

Services will be held privately.
