Obituary of Barbara Deighton

Barbara Deighton, age 82, of Bear, DE, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at Broadmeadow Healthcare in Middletown, DE. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Ward and Elizabeth Yocum Deighton. She spent the last six years residing in Bear, DE, after previously living in Norristown, PA. Barbara enjoyed a long career as an Administrative Assistant with General Mills, where she worked diligently for many years before retiring. In her personal life, Barbara was an avid reader and found great joy in gardening, sewing, and quilting. She had a deep love for her cats, who brought her much happiness and companionship.
