Obituary of Sylvia M. Yost

Sylvia M. Yost, age 84, of Glen Mills, PA, passed away on May 31, 2025, at Rose Court in Maris Grove. Born and raised in Bradford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Glenn A. and Clara M. Ormsby. Sylvia had been a resident of Maris Grove since 2008, previously residing in Springfield, PA. Sylvia earned a Master's Degree in Education and dedicated her career to teaching in the Upper Darby School District for many years until her retirement. A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Springfield, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Donald Yost; her sons, John (Tracey) Yost and David (Cynthia) Yost; her brother, John (Audeen) Williams; and her four cherished grandchildren: Emily, Daniel, Jacob, and Elizabeth Yost. A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Maris Grove Chapel, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 AM.
